In response to COVID-19 closures, I collaborated with museum staff to provide online content for visitors. Some of this content was pre-existing and compiled for this purpose, while some of the content was created for this project by our museum library and archives staff. I designed and launched our Social Distancing Learning Resources web page on our WordPress site which includes History Pin Tours, Couch Historian Web Courses, lesson plans, Pinterest Education Activity Boards, and Oral History Interviews.
In response to a need for a more cost-effective web host provider, I researched a list of potential new hosts for the Silverton Arts Association website and presented a proposal to the board of directors. The board voted to adopt Weebly as the new web host. I designed the new site and transferred all of the content from the previous site.
Part of my graduation requirements for my master’s in Book Publishing was to create a website portfolio to document the work we completed during the two-year program. I chose Squarespace to build my website and featured my graphic design, hand lettering, and photography in addition to my coursework. The URL is no longer active because I repurposed the website for www.lizmcintire.com.
